BarryWoods Crossing was RED Development's first shopping center development.  The 270,000-square-foot lifestyle center envisioned what would become RED's signature elements:  unique design, superlative architecture, extensive landscape and hardscape, and premier tenants. 

BarryWoods Crossing continues to be a vibrant and significant shopping center in the Kansas City market.



Jefferson Pointe

Jefferson Pointe is an open-air lifestyle center featuring more than 60 shops and restaurants, including a two-story Von Maur department store and a theater complex. The Mediterranean-style shopping center offers a unique setting for shopping, entertainment and dining, making Jefferson Pointe a destination
for everyone in the family.


The Shops at Boardwalk

The Shops at Boardwalk is a 136,000-square-foot, open-air lifestyle shopping center and was RED's second shopping center in northern Kansas City, Missouri.
Designed with a conservative southwestern motif, the shopping center features unique towers, steel marquis and fabric awnings.

The layout consists of one primary building containing multiple tenants. Building materials such as varied bricks, stones and stucco finishes complete the architectural theme.

The project is located on the southeast quadrant of the intersection of I-29 and Missouri Highway 152. The highlight of the project is the exciting mix of tenants and the open-air streetscape that creates a pedestrian friendly environment with quality landscaping and other amenities.



The Shops at Walnut Creek

The Shops at Walnut Creek is a hybrid shopping center combining a large anchor tenant with junior anchors, specialty stores and restaurants in a lifestyle center-quality environment. The combination of retail in the development offers a unique setting for shopping, entertainment and dining in a vibrant community.

The center’s architectural design is reminiscent of the Victorian village and regional historic parts of the Denver area. The design is a culmination of eclectic architectural styles referred to as Victorian - but uniquely American. The goal is to create a shopping environment that is real in character and creates a warmth and familiarity with the main street shopping of the past.

The Shops at Walnut Creek was a joint venture between RED Development and CDC Real Estate Corp.



Saddle Mountain

The Saddle Mountain Neighborhood Shopping Center includes an upscale grocery store and a unique mix of national, regional and local retailers and service providers. The tenant mix encourages shoppers to frequent Saddle Mountain several times during the week. The shopping center is centrally located and offers convenient access, corner exposure and close proximity to the Mayo clinic.




The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes

Maple Grove, MN


The overwhelming success of Arbor Lakes created the demand for The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. The $75 million Shoppes development opened September 12, 2003 with 400,000 square feet of shops and restaurants.

The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes is Minnesota's first lifestyle center. The 53-acre project also includes a $10 million transit center with parking for approximately 900 cars that the City of Maple Grove owns and operates.
The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes features an elaborate courtyard that is host to outdoor dining venues and civic gatherings. Street parking and pedestrian friendly sidewalks constructed of decorative pavers located throughout the development, invite the public to stroll through a four block shopping experience.



The Shops at North Village

St. Joseph, MO

The Shoppes at North Village is St. Joseph’s first community / lifestyle center. The 77-acre site offers a unique blend of entertainment, dining, “big box” and “lifestyle” type retail.

The architectural design will pay homage to the rich downtown history of St. Joe by applying elements of the historical downtown buildings built in the 1850’s. Building materials such as varied bricks, cast stone and stucco finishes complete the architectural theme.

The outdoor, mixed-use development of The Shoppes at North Village includes existing residential, commercial, light industry, retail, dining and entertainment. A tree-line parkway with lush landscaping moves throughout the entire project connecting the multiple buildings. The Shoppes at North Village was a RED joint venture with The R.H. Johnson Company.
